The entire sector is currently discussing the Environment Ministers’ announcement on June 9th regarding the plan implementation to achieving a Nature Positive Australia. The following are the plan’s major priorities:
- Implementing our Nature Positive Plan
- Repairing more of what’s damaged – enhancing threatened species recovery
- Managing nature better for the future – transitioning to a circular economy
We couldn’t be happier to welcome the plan and proclaim our strong commitment in supporting the action plan by taking significant steps and deeply collaborating with industry to achieve the highest possible results for the protection of our unique environment.
As an innovative packaging supplier, we are deeply involved in the areas of traceability, sustainability, waste reduction, and food waste reduction, supplying the industry with the most innovative intelligent packaging and solutions…
Our extensive work can be seen in a number of projects, including the ATGA (Australian Table Grapes Association) Traceability pilot, which has been recognised by the world with a Worldstar Award 2022; as well as linerless technology for removing backing paper with the latest Herma InNo Liner machine, which has been adopted by the industry as the most sustainable way of labelling and was a Gold winner at this year’s PIDA Awards…
Our top priority is to present the industry with the most sustainable strategy possible, while meeting 2025 National Packaging Targets and Food Waste Targets 2030. We work closely with the team as an active APCO member and reach to the top of the Packaging Recycling Hierarchy with Herma InNo liners systems, falling into this category due to the absence of standard liner materials. They are gone; there is no waste.
With the latest machines utilising sustainable methods of coding and marking, as well as the most exciting lasering solution for fresh produce Natural Branding Ecomark technology, recently launched in the Australian and New Zealand markets with a primary goal to REDUCE and even REMOVE stickers on fruits and vegetables…we are on a mission to contribute to the plan and protect the environment for future generations, because this is FEASIBLE.
As an active long-term member of AIP, FOOD WASTE CRC, GS1 Australia, to name a few, we strive to deliver the best strategy for waste minimisation, CO2 emissions reduction, and fruit label removal in order to create the most sustainable future.
Please contact us to learn more about our long-term approach to accomplishing the objectives of the action plan. Growers, manufacturers, composters, environmental leaders, government agencies…We know how to support the environmental plan, and we have a strategy and solutions in place – talk to us. We work hard to support the industry in the most sustainable way possible, and the technologies are being used and deployed.
