- Don’t just scan… verify.
- Inspection at the point of printing.
- Out of spec label? Never with LVS.
The LVS® 7500 builds on the successful LVS® 7000 systems which have provided the market with a full range of barcode verification and print quality inspection capabilities since 2004.
The LVS® 7500 now makes this complete functionality available for use on thermal and thermal transfer printers. Solid state, high resolution image capturing technology replaces the camera and lighting previously used, resulting in a low cost, practical solution that specifically meets the needs of the thermal and thermal transfer label printing industry.
Currently, LVS® offers two models, the LVS® 7500, with a sensor width of 5.4 inches (138mm), and the LVS® 7508, with a sensor width of 8.5 inches (216 mm).
The LVS® 7500 is custom designed to integrate with thermal and thermal transfer type printers. The LVS® 7500 comes with a powder coated steel base plate onto which the unit is mounted. The use of stainless steel rods and thumb screw adjustable brackets allow the read head to be matched to the height of the printer. The user’s printer is also placed onto the steel base plate in close proximity to the LVS® 7500 read head.
Minimum protected cabling connects the LVS® 7500 encoder and sensor to the electronic components. A standard USB cable connects the LVS® 7500 to the user’s PC onto which the system software is loaded.
The LVS® 7500 can be configured for use with the printer’s internal rewind, the user’s external rewind or for short run jobs without using a rewind. The LVS® 7500 also provides an output signal to stop the printer or warn the operator based on customer specified parameters. All system components are designed for use in an industrial environment.
The only unit of its type, the LVS will inspect but more importantly VERIFY to both GS1 and ISO standards including the following;
- 2D Codes
- Barcodes of all formats including customs
- Blemish, and
- Optical character verification.
